Hiatus Of The Heart (CD)
Janice-Marie never stopped flexing her musical skills. That said, it may have taken the singer/songwriter/musician
a while to deliver her ..."Hiatus Of The Heart ", but
the wait has been worth it. This set of world-flavored R&B/pop heralds a mix of dance,
midtempo tunes, and ballads that wrap themes of life and love around
African and Caribbean rhythms, as well as rock, reggae, and jazz.........here's
hoping listeners step beyond ...(Boogie Oogie Oogie)... and allow
themselves to explore Janice-Maries Musical heart.

Hiatus Of The Heart (CD)
Janice Marie Johnson, a founding member of the band
A Taste of Honey, comes out from under wraps for a deeply
spiritual, cleansing and conscientious debut solo album, titled
"Hiatus of the Heart". A lot of hard work went into this album....We
are talking about love songs of appreciation like "In The Light",
vivid soundscapes of paradise like "Love Is The Only Thing
That Matters", sophisticated funk like "Matter of Fact",
and dreamscapes like the title track......show a sista (and
still fine at that) some love.

Hiatus Of The Heart (CD)
One of the more lively performances that had people
dancing in front of the stage was Grammy Award winning artist Janice-Marie(Stockbridge/Munsee/Mahigan)
and flutist Robert Tree Cody (Salt River/Maricopa/Dakota)....I was
(Boogie Oogie Oogie) that had nearly everyone either dancing or
clapping their hands....

Hiatus Of The Heart (CD)
Janice-Marie, ....was the last performance. Janice-Marie's incredibly hot performance
had the crowd dancing and forgetting all about the chill in the
air. She was fabulous,
a dichotomy as she walked out on stage in a elegant silver dress
and then got down, playing the bass with passion as she belted out
"Boogie Oogie Oogie", her Grammy award winning multi-platinum
smash.....
